Human Trafficking and Forced Labour – Legal and Criminological Aspects

The aim of the lecture is to discuss the issue of human trafficking and forced labour, both from the perspective of legal regulations and through the presentation of the criminological aspects of these phenomena. Particular emphasis will be placed on criminological aspects such as the modus operandi of perpetrators and victim profiles. Although I will refer to research conducted in Poland, the activities of human traffickers are often quite similar across contexts. Therefore, the lecture will include a case study of a human trafficking for the purpose of forced labour
